The pink bourbons from La Esperanza just won’t stop, and we’re surely not complaining. Our last pink bourbon offering from La Esperanza leaned tangy and grapey with a huge peach cocktail finish. While we are fans of this more overt processing style, this La Esperanza pink bourbon rendition leans more into what we're used to – clean pink fruits, rich caramel and butterscotch, and a blast of fresh citrus.
Around this time of year every year, the Region eagerly awaits the release of Cactor from the Grindhouse, a local café establishment of legendary fame. It’s the only time of year that I ever am able to taste cactus pear in its finest frozen form, and it’s become one of my favorite flavors to date. I was so thrilled when I tasted it in my cupping of this pink bourbon, and I find it extremely enticing and rare (think kiwi brightness with a touch of fuschia coloring). Paired with densely sweet dried mandarin (the peak of all dried fruits) and a pink lemonade acidity, we think this coffee is perfect for the zingy-fruit and acidity fanatics. We hope you enjoy its zesty and refined character!
