Gulp...and I wish it were coffee. Every summer growing up my Mom would take my sister and me to Deep River Waterpark for a full day of splash-tastic fun. While I enjoyed the lazy river, the wave pool, and tube slides, I always feared the vertical drop body slide.

My Mom, a person with seemingly no fear at all, would always push me gently to face my fear and take the plunge. There were many times when I’d reach the top of the slide only to scurry back down to solid ground.

One day, however, my Mom promised all my friends and me Dippin’ Dots for each person that conquered the slide. One by one I saw each of my friends rewarded with their favorite treat and flavor of their choice. It’s amazing that little strawberry vanilla ice cream dots could push me to challenge my greatest fear, but they worked. As I took the plunge, I closed my eyes and pretended I was flowing down a strawberry creamsicle mountain to maintain my focus on capturing the prize at hand. When I finally came to an abrupt stop, I gave a slight primal roar and sprinted (a fast walk) all the way to the Dippin’ Dots stand.

Strawberry sweet with a vanilla-graham-cracker-caramel-like goodness, each bite was a reminder of how remarkably fruity and rich treats could stay in your mind forever and push you to do the unimaginable.

Diego Bermudez’s coffee reminds me of all the coffees I tasted that made me dream of opening my own roastery and coffee venture (an entrepreneurial vertical water slide of sorts). Its profile is so stunningly unique, transparent, and transformative, that it helped me envision expressing my love for green beans, roasting, and brewing with all those that would give the pink bot a try.

If this is your first time ever trying a coffee from Diego Bermudez, you’re in for a treat. A leader in innovative processing techniques, Diego Bermudez, in my humble opinion based on the coffees I’ve tasted, has mastered the pinpointed representation of distinct fruitiness void of any faults (over fermented, rotten, sharp).

This coffee is a mix of strawberries and peaches (Hawaiian punch-like) with a creamy caramel ice cream aftertaste. If you try this coffee, you’ll immediately taste why Diego Bermudez’s coffees are some of the most prized in the world.
